God Blesses The Steps You Take - Faith Steps

There are some blessings you will never experience until you take the first steps of faith. As I began to study how God moves in scripture I realized it wasn’t just enough to have a dream, we must act on the vision God give us. Jesus isn’t going to give us a dream and do all the work for us too. He is, however, more than willing to bless the steps we take in faith. He wants us to join Him in the work He desires to accomplish in the earth.

Now let me be clear, He doesn’t need us to get it done but HE WANTS us to experience Him on a deeper level while getting it done. WOW, the love of Jesus just blows my mind. How many of us are missing blessings because we won’t act? (Sorry the life coach in me is consistently asking questions.)

Now don’t get me wrong, God has shown up for me and answered prayers I never even prayed. One example is when He miraculously paid a $34,000 hospital bill that I literally never even prayed about. However, the God we serve is multifaceted and there is another dimension of blessing given to the courageous. The ones who are willing to press through fear to act on the Rhema word of God are the courageous. You experience Jesus on a completely different level when you are walking on the water and not sitting in the boat.

Fear is a glass ceiling designed to hold you down and keep you stuck. Beloved it’s your time to break FREE!

A Rock and A Hard Spot:

Take a journey with me back in time to the days of Moses (Exodus 14). We land in a place where Moses finds himself stuck between a rock and a hard spot. Actually, it was pharaoh's army and the Red Sea. He’s hinged in between the two and has nowhere to turn. If he stands still pharaoh’s army will kill them all. If he moves forward they will all drown in the Red Sea. It would be illogical to walk into the sea and expect to live.

Moses declares, “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:14 NIV

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me?” Tell the Israelites to move on. Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground.” Exodus 14:15-16 NIV (emphasis added)

But God WHY?

Why didn’t God just part the sea without Moses involvement? Did He need Moses? NO! He wanted Moses to participate in what He was doing on the earth. When we step out on faith to where God is leading us, He is faithful to deal with whatever is chasing us.

Do you find yourself today in between a rock and a hard place? Do you think if you start planning to walk in your purpose, you will walk right into a hard spot? Be encouraged Beloved! If God is leading you there then He has the power to show Himself as the God of Angel Armies and miraculously move on your behalf. This is the place where the courageous see the mighty blessings of the Most High God, in the place where you MOVE FORWARD. There is a path for every vision and God is looking for you to follow His lead.

Isaiah 43:18-19 NKJV “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

Eyes Locked & Feet Moving - Faith Steps!:

At what point did the Israelites see the salvation of the LORD? At what stage did they see the miraculous take place? It was when they MOVED ON. They didn’t stop and say, “Hey God, how long will you divide the sea because you know, I don’t know how to swim.” They didn’t question or contemplate they MOVED!

God blesses the steps you take, not the ones you contemplate. Imagine what would've happened if Moses continued to shout out the faithfulness of God and never acted on the word of God. What if Moses contemplated that it isn’t logical to walk into the Red Sea and expect to divide it with his staff? What if Moses continued to cry out to God about his circumstances and never moved his feet? Moses would have missed an opportunity to experience an ALL POWERFUL GOD, saving them from insurmountable circumstances.

What blessings do you need to step into? Go back and think about the last word God gave you to do. Did you do it? As long as you have breath, it is not too late to MOVE FORWARD! Where’s your faith Beloved? Do you need faith to arise in your heart so you too can be numbered among the courageous?

Confession Time:

When I decided to open my own life coaching business I never imagined that I would leave my seemly secure corporate paycheck. I thought life coaching would be a side gig like many other coaches. Never did I imagine that I would be doing it full time, on my own, just me and Jesus. I also didn't know that the greatest expression of my gifts and talents would be harnessed in Breakthrough for Life LLC.

Imagine with me now. I am a single parent with no support. My son’s father died years ago. My mother died 24 years ago. I never even met my father. All my grandparents are deceased. I have no safety net. So taking risks isn’t part of my usual mode of operation. I am usually the “play it safe person” because I know all I have in this world is Jesus. As my dear friend Gayle says, “You plus Jesus is the majority.” I am 100% dependent on Jesus. If He doesn’t show up I am in the wind floating on a song and a prayer.

Imagine my surprise when I hear Jesus give me a Rhema word to leave my job. I cried, I argued and I waited 3 years to act. Delayed obedience is disobedience. Since I wouldn’t move on His word, He made my world extremely uncomfortable. Like Moses found myself stuck between a rock and a hard place. I cried out to God and He said MOVE ON! I was like what???!!!???? You’re joking, right? As I began to take the faith steps to MOVE ON Jesus showed up and showed out in ways that to this day, I would not believe if I didn’t experience it! I will leave that story for another blog on a different day.
