Is your love tank empty? Have you poured yourself out to everything and everyone, leaving yourself in need of a deep embrace? Do you want to be loved with no agenda or ulterior motive? Do you fear when people get to know the real you, they may not love you anymore?
As a Christian Life Coach, I see the effects of empty love tanks all around me. The symptoms are very familiar but hard to trace and at times, even harder to overcome. We put a smile on our face for the world to see but deep in our hearts, we are secretly hurting. Life pulls so much out of all of us. Where do we go to get our love tanks filled back up?
I am sitting here laughing at myself because I have written two paragraphs and asked five questions. Can you tell I’m a Life Coach? I can’t help it, I’m curious and I love what I do. I love people and I want them to be mended, whole and fulfilled in every area of their life.
The only person who can love you with pure unadulterated love is Jesus. Many of you already know that but struggle with receiving His love. I hope this blog will help you receive a love embrace from the one who loves you most.
“When I combine information and emotion, I begin to experience my thoughts as real. Appropriately, someone once said that the heart knows no difference between reality and something clearly imagined. When I experience a thought at an emotional level it heightens my ability to believe that it is real. It is a way of connecting with a reality different than we are experiencing.
Like the apostle Paul, who learned the secret power of seeing the unseen, we can see our future through the eyes of the heart. As we see ourselves experiencing God’s promises to the degree that we begin to create the sense of actually possessing those promises, they become our reality. Once it becomes believable, the heart will release the power of God to make it happen.”1
“That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height – to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”2
Always remember you are the apple of His eye, the object of His affection and He delights in your prosperity. You are not forgotten and He is not mad at you. He sees what you are going through in this very moment and He wants to love you through it all. Will you receive His love embrace?
All it takes is 15 minutes a day to get a Holy love embrace from the Creator of the Universe. He knows all about you and still loves you. Have you embraced His love today? Let this song wash over your heart and drink deeply from His waterfall of love.
